The Tuning Point Advantage

I writing this review to express my deep appreciation to the owners and staff of Tuning Point Advantage, Tallahasse FL. The service I have received at Tuning Point over the past decade has been outstanding. All maintenance and repair work on my and my wife's cars has been done effectively, carefully and promptly. Furthermore, when I needed advice on our cars, it consistently was provided in a thoughtful manner and turned out to be effective. When friends and colleagues ask me for suggestions on car repair or maintenance outlets, Tuning Point is #1 on my list. Call in general it took longer than expected and costs were beyond what I anticipated. Beyond that I felt like they did a quality job… And I appreciated their customer care. AJ really help to make me feel confident about the experience.

Shop is clean, well managed, and upfront about service and pricing. I’ve had my Suburu serviced there for over five years and never felt they were taking advantage of me - contrary to a local dealership.

They repaired my car and stuck to the estimate I was given. Even when I went to pick up the car and found an additional $500 problem, rather than charge me more, they fixed it without adding an additional charge. I really respect the fact that they stuck to the estimate. Thank you Tuning Point for proving there are honest respectable auto repair shops out there. A+

Took my van here at the beginning of the year and they couldn't even figure out that the biggest issue was just a faulty MAP sensor. They told me it was a transmission issue at first. They were wrong. Wasted my time and all of my money going to this shop... After being baited into unnecessary repairs, the issue STILL never got fixed. EVEN after the repairs they baited me into, the mechanics would say they "performed a road test after repair" and there were no red flags... ...but their road test obviously wasn't even long enough to bring the engine up to temp. Because if it was, they would've noticed it was a sensor issue immediately. - - - Response to owner - I'm glad you guarantee your work. But literally 0% of the work you did on my vehicle was work that needed to be done in the first place. All of the issues and repairs needed on my vehicle stemmed from something as simple and basic as a MAP sensor. The main issue is that the minor issue with the MAP sensor wasn't diagnosed properly, and I was baited into "needing other repairs". Since the MAIN issue wasn't fixed, the "guaranteed repairs" that were performed eventually cascaded into other costly issues down the line. And now my van is broken down and immobile. But nice attempt in trying to cover your own ass...Thanks. - - - Youre attacking the reviewer instead of resolving the complaint. Instead of addressing my very real negative experience, you claim: “You must be a fake account and/or competitor” Seems like you're trying to discredit me without ever admitting fault. Legitimate businesses rarely accuse actual customers of being fake just because the review is negative — they address the issue itself.
